The Sirenz take on the Rocket!

After a hectic day getting ready the Sirenz headed down to the Hippodrome in Bristol city centre to catch the frog bus to the Rocket. The bus was full of lovely party people insisting on playing banging music and almost ruining the bus sound system - fortunately we had a friendly bus driver who didn't seem to mind.

The journey to london was pretty long and boring with no music, and then to make matters worse our driver got lost and had to ask for directions. We soon arrived at the Rocket, however it was the wrong Rocket, so directions were required again and shortly afterwards we arrived.

We enetered quickly as we needed to get ready to perform, the crew was Lorraine, Michelle, Rosie and Beccy as dancers along with Ian and Emma our photographer and seamstress. We walked into a large airy main room with a high ceiling beautifully decorated with butterflys and other hangings. The party was already getting underway and the dance floor was already fairly full with dancers. We were met by Jason who gave us our crew passes and we soon got ready and entered out onto the dance floor to dance for Psychosonic.

The night was full of fab sets which kept the dance floor packed and stomping hard. The highlights of my night have to be Oood & The Unconscious Collective for their stonking high energy and uplifting set which sent the dance floor into a manic frenzy and Prodigal Sun's live PA with guitar which was pretty cool. I loved swaying to chilled out and funky beats in the chillout room and passing time in the market hall looking at all the UV goods.

The fairies, pixies and other performers all looked amazing and danced fantastically which only made being part of this night an even better experience. This party was full of great decor, beautiful and friendly party people and amazing music and performers. All in all its definitely been one of my favourite nights this year.

I would definitely reccommend the Rocket as a great party venue and hope to be visiting there again soon.
