Thread Locked Hippies (Psy-Forum Fundraiser) @ Jacks Club, London

So this weekend saw us Sirenz dancing at a party in London in support of Psy-forum to help raise money to keep it running and hopefully put on more parties!! The whole party was created by members of the forum and organ ised by the forum leader Etienne and by prominent member Dave Arc-i aka Aunti Dave. DJ's who played are all members, the visuals and lighting and décor and of course us sirenz laydees are all members…woot! It was a fabulous party! Dancing for Sirenz were Lorraine, Michelle, Emma and Nancy.

The party kicked off and Colin OOOD started warming up the main room with his unique music, the only way I could describe it was psy-trance with a break beat?! I was checking out the stunning decor in the main room which was provided by Debbie of Sub Atomic and visuals courtesy of the Inside us all crew! Meanwhile in the chillout as promised Arvind aka Full Lotus played a selection of 70's psychadelic music, ranging from the Doors to Hendrix and Velvet Underground twas blimming fab!! We tried to get the floor movin by dancing between both rooms and weaving through the people who were arriving and looking around, trying to entice people onto the dancefloor for a wiggle….it was starting to work! The club got incredibly full around the midnight mark and Alex Story aka Fro_memory hit the decks in the main room, the floor was pulsating with crazy dancers by now and the heat was rising but it was just an incredible place to be, so many people all up for it - playful people, gorgeous people every people! Just an amazing mix! Dred5 aka Paul kicked off his dubness in the chillout so I went for a mooch and a wiggle and enjoyed the amazing vibe created by the chillout cru, there were sheesha pipes, lovely ladies selling tea and juices, face painters, and the stunning visuals courtesy of magic lantern cru all made for a fantastic place to chill, this coupled with the stunning backdrops which created a bright jungle feel with stunning pictures of butterflys, dragonflies and beautiful flowers just blew our minds. We headed back to the main room for banging beats courtesy of Monkey Do aka Dan, the music was definitely getting harder and faster, w e were loving it and so were everyone else, there were stunning visuals on show which made you stop and stare the whole thing just clicked! Back to cosy chill for more greatness from the man himself Ott and the squire of the night Dave Arc-i who was one of the splendid people responsible for the whole thing, not only did this guy have more than a hand in with the visual aspect, he helped hugely with organising the thing and then played a belter of a set with Ott!! Too much mate, you're just showing off now!! ;) Back to the main room for the hyper that is EVP and then Beardy Weirdy - who to quote a certain cat, is weird and does have a beard!! After a quick change of clothes it was back into the chill for the fantastic Cosmonaughty aka Anton and then the rather stunningly attired Barclay (Dark Angel) whos lovely calming chill weaved magically thru my head as I massaged my cramped feet!! Driven by the sounds of James_23 I forced my bod back to the main room for more stompage, it was like I was possessed!! At this point I decided I needed a diversion and emptied my many bags of sweeties onto a silver tray and roamed around the club distributing lollies and sweeties to the remaining hardcore! I rounded off the night stomping to phat prog courtesy of Lurk before forcing myself out of the door back to reality and my train!

The whole night was a whirl of compliments, fine music, fabulous vibe, too many photos (blurgh I hate getting my pic taken) and general fun!! High points musically were, Ott v's Dave Arc-i, Dred5 and Arvs set!! I love my chillout and the music in there was great, lots of dub and proper floaty chilledness with plenty of recognisable tunes for a change (not like the usual underground chillage). Main room stars were Beardy Weirdy, Jamez_23 and Lurk! *not worthy* you all kept me going when I thought I had nothing left!! Thank you all!

I can't tell you in words how fabulous this party was... every detail seemed to be taken care of, everyone I met for the first time in the flesh (I only know these peeps from online) was just blimmin fab, and all the peeps I met online and have since met and now met again proved that they were just great people!! I could'nt of wished for a better party after my 3 month break!! I've not stopped thanking the people organising it - we got some fabulous feedback and some really fantastic offers to dance at 3 more London parties, one in Winchester and for a promo video for a band which was the most precious offer of all! WOW!! We even got a new recruit who you should look out for at our next gig in March!! :) I am totally blown away by the success of it all, it was an amazing night and I can't wait for the next one!! thank you once again to all involved see you on the other side!! xxx
