Resonance @ The Warehouse

We had been invited by Alex from the Alphawave project to join him for Lab4 at their fairly new weekly night, Resonance. Sirenz dancing at this event were Lorraine and Alice.

We arrived in Plymouth and headed straight into the club at just gone 10.30pm, added the finishing touches to our costumes and got out onto the dancefloor.

The music was bouncy and uplifting when we arrived and we enjoyed dancing around as the dancefloor quickly filled up.

The atmosphere in the club was amazing, the people were friendly and up for it, and I really enjoyed dancing and interacting with everyone on the dancefloor... it was a night of smiles all round!

At 2am, the second part of the club opened, and we all knew that meant Lab4 were close! Us Sirenz had been booked to dance on stage during the second half of Lab4’s set, allowing Lab4 some time to interact with the crowd alone, before our performance alongside them.

As Lab4 began, the atmosphere in the club exploded as the duo’s high energy surrounded the dancefloor. Their set began as it meant to go on - dirty, industrial and f**king fantastic! Throughout their set, Lab4 played a lot of their older tracks, and it has to be one of their best live sets I’ve had the pleasure to hear.

After the first half, myself and Alice took our places either side of Lab4 and danced our hearts out. It was an honour to be performing for Lab4’s last set in the South West, and to dance on stage beside them has been one of the biggest highlights of my year!

Us Sirenz had a fantastic night, and look forward to making the trip down to Plymouth again soon for another Resonance!
